The Long Version

Many years ago, our church started on a journey of expanding our vision and mission to include our local Primary Adventist school and support them as best we could. Part of that vision was the expansion of the school into a full K-12 school providing education for up to 1,000 students, and co-location with them on the one campus.

After many years of high-level planning at our Greater Sydney Conference, and the purchase of land at Gum Nut Close, Kellyille, the Hills Adventist College completed it’s transition into a full K-12 school in 2012.  In the meantime, we sold our church property and began planning a new facility, with increased focus on children’s and teen/youth ministries.

This new church facility is located in a growing community, with some 4,000 homes being constructed over the next 10 years. From the outset, this project has adopted a collective ambition approach, and aims to connecting the Church community to each other, to the adjacent school and to the wider neighbouring community. This facility that is currently proposed for the site includes worship spaces, child, teen and youth facilities, as well as spaces for kinder and crèche. Other associated support facilities are also intended for the master plan of the site. As many rooms as possible will be multi-purpose rooms to enable as much flexibility as possible. Subject to Council approval, and a relatively smooth building process, we anticipate moving into our new facilities by the end of 2017.

This will be the fourth location of the Kellyville church since it’s beginnings more than 120 years ago in 1897.  We thank God for His leading in all these transitions, and we look forward to our new home.  We hope construction will be able to begin on our new buildings in the coming months and will be worshipping in the College’s multi-purpose centre in the meantime.  We would love for you to come and join us in community sometime.
