Hey Kids

Our series for this month is is called Into the Fire. It is part six of The Storyline of the Redeeming love of Jesus . In this series we are exploring the Adventures of the Israelites through the book of Exodus. We begin with the story of Joseph and we will end at the wall of Jericho hundreds of years later. From Joseph to Joshua we will discover the good the bad and the ugly and find out that Gods plans for his family are good and that no matter what evil has planned for us Jesus has plans to turn it into good. By Choosing to live love and serve like Jesus we can be a part of his great plans.

THIS WEEK we meet Moses, a baby born into slavery. We see that even though evil was done to him and his people, God’s plan was that they would be free in a land of plenty.

What can we take from this story to help us live, love and serve right where we are?

Words to Remember

I have come down to save them from the Egyptians. I will bring them out of that land. I will lead them to a good land with lots of room. This is a land where much food grows. Exodus 3:7-8. ICB

GROW A GRASS HEAD!

God promised the Israelited a land where things will grow in abundance. See how good you are at growing grass. Follow the instructions in the link below:

The Israelites endured a lot of hardship under the Pharoah’s rule and faced a lot of challenges in the desert.  But, God never left their side and He always provided for them. He split open the Red Sea, and while they were in the desert with no food God sent manna and quail for them to eat.

When God took them out of Egypt, He made them a promise,God promised Israel an abundance of land. Their own land where they would prosper.

Take a look at a popcorn pip.

It has a lot of potential, but it needs to heat up before it turns into a delicious treat.  With the help of an adult, pop yourself some popcorn and even add some tasty treats to make a tasty treat with an abundance of flavour.

PASS THE PARCEL

This game is for three or more people.

Wrap a few treats, toys and random objects in as much cling wrap as you can until it forms a big ball. (The centre of the ball should have something special)

The first person with the ball starts unwrapping the ball while the person on their right rolls a pair of dice, trying to roll doubles. Once doubles are rolled, the ball is passed to the next player and the sequence begins again. The person with the ball does not stop unwrapping until the person to their right rolls doubles.  Whatever falls out while you unwrap is yours to keep.

While life is uncertain and we do not always know what is going to happen or what we might have to endure.  What we know for sure is we have the promise of an eternal life with Him in Heaven!
