MAY 9
HEY KIDS!
This week is all about - what we choose to do when everything seems to be bad.
Our Trailblazer this week is Hannah.
KEY BIBLE TEXT | 1 Samuel 1 (Hannah)
What’s Happening - Hannah wants to be a Mum more than anything else. What is easy for everyone else seems to be impossible for her. Hannah prays for a promise from God and makes a promise to God.
Words To Remember - PlayHouse
“When I am sad, God is with me. He can see when my heart is happy and sad and He is with me always.” Psalms 34:18 (PlayHouse Paraphrase)
SHARE - CONNECT MATERIAL FOR TREEHOUSE KIDS
Before you begin you will need a pen and paper.
1 Samuel 1:13 tells us that Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard.
Have you ever felt like you cannot say what you want out loud?
Lets find out why Hannah was so sad.
Hannah’s husband was also married to a woman named Peninnah. Peninnah did have children and she would tease Hannah.
Can you tell me about a time when someone made fun of you? (Give an example yourself)
How did it make you feel?
Hannah was hurting and she took her pain in prayer to God.
What’s at the top of your prayer list right now?
Write or draw it on your paper.
How do you feel about God hearing your heart’s desires?
What has his care meant to you?
Let’s think of things we want to thank God for, can you think of something that starts with the same letter as your name?
Write or draw it on your paper.
We talked about asking God for things, but we can give to God, too. That’s what Hannah did next. Do you know what she gave to God?
Think about a gift you could give God. A good gift is something that is a hard to give up. Maybe it’s giving some of your time or helping your brother or sister when you don’t feel like it. Write or draw your gift on your paper. Fold it up, and tape it together like a gift. Keep it somewhere safe and each night this week hold it when you pray to God.
Trailblazers praise Jesus in good times and in bad. Get your dance moves together and thank Jesus in a praise party.

TREEHOUSE KIDS
Experiment with balloons and see what it takes to make them pop or not. Let us know how it works out for you in our Whats App group.
PLAYHOUSE KIDS
TRY to keep a balloon up in the air. You will need a balloon or three and someone to blow them up if you can’t do it yourself. Try tapping the ballon up in the air so it doesn’t touch the ground. Try this inside first. When you are good at doing this try taking your balloons outside. Is it harder to do outside? What makes it harder? Can you keep more than one balloon up at a time?
Know that no matter what is going on around you God sees you, He loves you and promises to catch you forever.

Using a paper bag , some ribbon and four envelopes, make a Prayer Pack.
The words on the envelopes help prompt your prayer.
You are awesome
I am sorry
Please help me
Thank you
On the bag write
Hey God I just wanted to say ….. You can write your conversations and questions and put them in the envelopes hanging from the bag.
Use the handles of the bag to hang your pack from your door or in your room.
Put a notebook and pen in the paper bag and when you come into your room, do what the front of the bag says , talk with God and tell him about your day and ask him what He thinks. You may be surprised by how he answers you.
Sometimes we don’t have the words to say how we feel. Even when we don’t know how to say it, God knows how we feel. Let’s always ask Him to show us the way. Have a go at making this craft of Hannah and remember that when we talk to God, He understands.
We would love to see you playing, trying, making and sharing! Please share your photos with your KellyvilleKids community in our WhatsApp Group. If you’re new to our KellyvilleKids community and would like to stay connected, contact zan@kellyville.church
