Hey Kids
Our series for this month is is called Into the Fire. It is part six of The Storyline of the Redeeming love of Jesus . In this series we are exploring the Adventures of the Israelites through the book of Exodus. We begin with the story of Joseph and we will end at the wall of Jericho hundreds of years later. From Joseph to Joshua we will discover the good the bad and the ugly and find out that God’s plans for his family are good, and that no matter what evil has planned for us, Jesus has plans to turn it into good. By Choosing to live love and serve like Jesus we can be a part of his great plans.
Jesus is bigger than any problem.
THIS WEEK we explore three stories where the Israelites forgot how well God had cared for them and they complained constantly to Moses & Aaron. What do we do when we aren't getting what we want? See how God uses one of these stories to show what Jesus did for us.
Bible Texts — Exodus 17:1-7. Numbers 20:1-13. Numbers 21:4-9

BAKING SOAD & VINEGAR BALLOON
You Will Need:
Baking Soda
Vinegar
Empty Water Bottles
Balloons
Measuring Spoons
Funnel {optional but helpful)
Experiment Set Up:
Step 1.
Blow up the balloon a bit to stretch it out some and use the funnel and teaspoon to add baking soda to the balloon. We started with 2 teaspoons and added a teaspoon for each balloon.
Step 2.
Fill the container with vinegar half way.
Step 3.
When your balloons are all made up attach to the containers making sure you have a good seal!
Step 4.
Next lift up the balloon to dump the baking soda into the container of vinegar. Watch your balloon blow up!
We all feel cranky and deflated from time to time… but knowing Jesus and choosing to have Him as our friend means we know He can do anything for us. He fills our lives with love and joy!

MINUTE TO WIN IT
If you like a challenge and you are confident you will be able to successfully complete it then this is for you!
Do a few of the Minute to Win it challenges. See how many you can finish in under 60 seconds.
How did it go? Were you able to do all of the challenges within a minute? Did you almost get there?
How did you feel when you were able or not able to complete the challenge?
Leaning Tower of LEGO
Fill two bins/buckets with LEGO (the number depends on the age of the players). Players must stack all the bricks in the container. If the tower breaks, continue to stack. The first person to stack all their bricks wins!
Hot Chocolate Marshmallow Toss
Have players stand back from the table with mugs on it. Give players a designated number of marshmallows and see how many the team can throw into the mug in one minute.
Card Ninja
Slice a watermelon in half, securing it on a table or other flat surface. Give the kids cards to throw (kind of like throwing stars). Whoever gets the most cards into the melon in one minute wins.

LOOK & FIND
Click on the link below to access a look and find challenge.
The Israelites complained a lot while they were in the desert… They chose to focus on the things going wrong instead of looking at the things going well!
Sometimes we do the same… we complain about things not going our way and forget to look for the things around us that are going great!
Challenge yourself this week to look for things going well. For every one thing you complain about, find five things going well! You can encourage others to do the same! Let’s focus on God do’s and not on our don'ts.
We would love to see you playing, trying, making and sharing! Please share your photos with your KellyvilleKids community in our WhatsApp Group. If you’re new to our KellyvilleKids community and would like to stay connected, contact us.
