Hey Kids
We have been following the storyline of God's rescue plan for us from the very first bad choice that threw the world into chaos. In our last series One of A Kind we explored the perfect choices of Jesus. This month we will see how faithful Jesus is to rescue us from death. He shows us how to live, love and serve the kingdom of God now and forever. He gives us New Life right now.
THIS WEEK we are at the cross, where Jesus pays the price for all the evil ever done by all of Humankind. This is where we see what love does. Love never gives up even when life does. Love conquers all.
Bible Texts —Isaiah 53:3-7. Mark 15:33-41. 1 Peter 3:18. 2 Corinthians 5:16-21.

Christ himself died for you. And that one death paid for your sins. He was not guilty, but he died for those who are guilty. He did this to bring you all to God. His body was killed, but he was made alive in the spirit. 1 Peter 3:18 ICB

EGG DROP
Egg drop!
Use materials from the list, or whatever you have at home, and make a parachute.
You can use:
- Balloons
- String
- Plastic
- Empty containers
- Any recyclable materials
After you constructed your parachute you will have to test to see if it works. Use a hardboiled egg and do the egg drop! Was your egg safe? Did it crack or break open?
Jesus is our parachute! When we choose Him, he guides us to an eternal life with Him. Sometimes our choices make us fall, but Jesus already paid the price to rescue us! We just need to call out to HIM!
AN EXPERIMENT
-Place two empty cups next to one another
-Fill one cup with water and add a spoon of dirt to it
-Take one paper towel and roll it tight to form a straw
- Place one end of the straw in the dirty water and the other end in the empty cup
- Be patient and watch what happens
This experiment reminds us how Jesus washed us clean. The cup with the dirt in it represents us and the sin in our lives. Jesus is the paper towel. Watch what he does with our sin. The second cup is us, after Jesus sacrificed Himself for us.
CHEESE PUFF TOSS GAME
You will need cheese puffs, shaving cream and a shower cap
You can play this game with a friend or family member. The challenge is to see how many cheese puffs you can get stuck on the other person’s head in one minute. This might be messy but when you are done, simply take off the cap and put it in the bin.
People weren't always kind to Jesus. He stayed cool and calm even when people around him were not. When we find ourselves in situations where things get difficult we can also choose to stay cool and calm like Jesus.
