March 4

Hey Kids

This year we will be learning about the Kingdom of Heaven and all the different parts of it. This week we are continuing our series called The King. We will spend the next few weeks exploring who our King is and what He is like. We are going to focus on our King, Jesus and what He is like. We will learn how compassionate and gracious our God is!

LAST WEEK We learnt that Jesus is slow to anger because He loves us.

THIS WEEK We will discover that there is no where we can go where God’s love will not reach us.

Bible Texts: Exodus 34:6-7, Psalms 136, Matthew 8:1-4 & Romans 8:28

Words to Remember

TREEHOUSE: Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from the love God has for us. Not death, not life, not angels, not ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, or anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 ICB

PLAYHOUSE: Nothing in the whole world can keep us from the love God has for us. Romans 8:38-39 KKIDS

God’s love for us continues forever! This is amazing and worth shouting from the top of your lungs. Make this trumpet with the verse from Romans 8:38-39 that tells us nothing can separate us from God's love. Use this trumpet when we read Psalm 136.

God’s love for us is good and it is forever!

Game: Cat and Mouse

How to Play

  • Choose one person to be the Cat and one to be the Mouse.

  • Everyone else joins hands in a circle.

  • The Cat tries to catch the mouse and the mouse tries to run away.

  • The circle of people let the mouse in and out of the circle allowing them to go wherever they please.

  • The opposite applies to the Cat. The circle does all that it can to keep the Cat away from the mouse.

  • Set a timer to change out the Cat and Mouse. Kids can choose who goes next.

Let’s Talk

Sometimes it feels like we are constantly running from one thing to the next, or we are chasing after something we never seem to catch, never getting any rest kind of like the Cat and the Mouse. Jesus says find rest in Him. Let my love circle you and hold you safe. Know that his plans for us are good.

We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people God called, because that was his plan. Romans 8:28
