Hey Kids

This month we are exploring the line of Faith, the people who believed God from Adam to Noah and all the problems in-between. God has a plan for his people that brings us through our problems to live in the promise of life with him.

This week we are focussing on what we are building and why.

Bible Texts — Genesis 11:1-9 | Genesis 9:7 | Matthew 7:24-27 | Proverbs 3:5.

Words to Remember Trust the Lord with all your heart. Don’t depend on your own understanding.

 Pancake Stacks.

How many pancakes can you stack before they fall over?

What does the stack need to hold it together?

Use a skewer to go through the middle of the pancakes.

Just like this skewer,God's love holds us together.

Our families, our friendships, our communities build into something amazing

when God's love is in the middle of everything.

Where is God's love in your life?

Sand Designs

Using sand at the beach or in a tray and a fine point pencil, stones or shells, create your own sand design. Notice how quickly the design can be damaged or messed up by a bump or even a breath of wind. In the parable of the Wise and Foolish man found in Matthew 7:24-27 building on the sand is not a good idea.

Jesus is our rock. When we build our lives on him nothing can blow or bump us away from him. We are with him forever. That’s how strong Jesus love is for us.

Stone Stacking.

Check out the images of rock stacking from all around the world. Everyone takes a rock and then takes turns to add them on top or beside each other, creating their own sculpture. We choose if we build together and how we build together. God made us to build together a world of love. Love for him and each other. Take a photo of your sculpture and share with us.

Jenga

This is a building game that requires gentle hands to move blocks from one place to another. Can you see when the tower is about to fall? Can you guess how many turns it will take before the tower falls. God created us to be aware of what is going on around us. God knows all the moves we make, the ones that build up and the ones that pull down.

Mark 12:30-31 tells us to Love God with everything that we have and to love others as we love ourselves. This is the most important thing to remember. When we are building friendships, teams, families and communities let’s love God and the people around us with everything that we have.

We would love to see you playing, trying, making and sharing! Please share your photos with your KellyvilleKids community in our WhatsApp Group. If you’re new to our KellyvilleKids community and would like to stay connected, contact us.
