What’s Happening - You are part of God's family. The Israelites were learning what it was to be God’s family. Paul was reminding the Galatians that Believing in Jesus makes them family to. So often things come along and we forget who’s family we belong to. Remember not to forget that you belong in God’s family

Can you remember something you do not want to forget? What is it?
What do you do to remind yourself of something you have to do, like homework or going to a party?
Remember not to forget that, God accepts us because of Jesus.
When we believe in Jesus, when God sees us, he sees Jesus in us. When we believe in Jesus, he promises to live in our heart.
In our text from Galatians 3 Paul is reminding the Galatians, not to forget how they met Jesus? Let’s find out what he says.
3 You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?
What do you think Paul means when he says in vs2
Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?
He asks the same question again in verse 5? Why do you think he does that? What do you think the Galatians heard about Jesus? What have you been told about Jesus?
Have you ever been told something about someone that was not true?
Maybe it was about a new teacher or a new kid at school or Jesus. Something was said to make you think, they would not like you or that you would not be good enough or smart enough or just not enough.
How did you find out that what was said was not true?
When we get to know someone we don’t need anyone else to tell us who they are, we already know.
Paul reminds the Galatians of the promise that God made to Abraham. Abrahams family was God’s family. God even said so. You will be my people.

When Abraham chooses to believe, God says
“All nations will be blessed through you.”[d] 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
When we believe in Jesus we are blessed by God. God loves us because we believe in his son.
So often we are told that we have to do something else to belong. The Galatians were told that they had to do other stuff to belong that they were somehow not good enough just believing in Jesus. Just like Paul was reminding the Galatians that Jesus is all we need, We need to remember that Jesus is all we need to.
Remember never to forget that all God asks us to do is believe in his son Jesus that he is enough and all that we need. When we believe in Jesus we belong in God’s family.
Can you remember your favourite things to do when you were really small? Try to remember what it was. ( I loved to paint.). What was it and do you still like to do that thing even though you are much older now. Remember to not forget that God loves you and accepts you no matter how old you are. He loves you just as you are. The things that you love to do he put on your heart and in your hand to do. Think about how you can thank God for your favourite thing. Take some time today to remember that you are loved, you belong and you are God’s Family.
A Family Tree
Jesus calls us to be part of his family, to build a place where everyone is welcome.. Instead of only putting the family that we are born into on the tree add in all the people that you love. Three Truths and a Lie
This is a difficult game to play with our families because they know so much about us. They know our likes and dislikes and most of our experiences they have had with us.
Choose three things that are true and one that is false and see if the others can guess which three are true.
Always search for what is true. Jesus wants to be family for us. He wants us to Know him so well we can tell what is truth and what is not. Jesus is our family, and like Paul we will spend our lives introducing him to everyone else.
