Hey Kids
We have been following the storyline of God's rescue plan for us from the very first bad choice that threw the world into chaos. In our last series, One of A Kind we explored the perfect choices of Jesus. This month we will see how faithful Jesus is to rescue us from death. He shows us how to live, love and serve the kingdom of God now and forever. He gives us New Life right now.
LAST WEEK - The Holy Spirit is here in a big way! The Followers of Jesus show what living in the spirit is.
THIS WEEK we get to sit in on a meeting between Jesus and Nicodemus. Why was Nicodemus sneaking around in the dark to meet Jesus and what is with the strange instructions that Jesus gives to him? Let’s see if we can discover what the meaning of Grace is, in this story, and for us.
Bible Texts —John 3:1-21. Romans 6:1-4.
Words to Remember
You have been saved by grace because you believe. You did not save yourselves. It was a gift from God. You cannot brag that you are saved by the work you have done.
Ephesians 2:8-9.ICB

UNBELIEVEABLE UMBRELLAS
Grace covers us. Imagine a super umbrella that always stays up. The rain or the heat of the sun can't touch you. It's so big all of your friends and family, in fact all the people ever born could fit under it. That's some umbrellas!
This is God's gift of grace to us. It covers us forever and ever in Jesus name.
TO remember the power of grace play Unbelievable Umbrellas.
You will need
large beach umbrellas
Water guns
Water
Outside area to play.
How to:
Fill the water guns with water.Kids hide under the umbrella,
One group of kids stand behind a firing line and squirt the umbrella attempting to soak the kids under the umbrella.
Kids Take turns at soaking and or being covered by the umbrella.
At the end of this activity, with a water based marker that will clean off,
Write in big letter grace on the umbrella.
Grace covers us. When sin wants to soak us, Jesus' gift of Grace has us covered.
All we have to do is accept the gift and live under grace.
BLINDFOLDED OBSTACLE COURSE
The Holy Spirit leads us, but we need to follow His guidance. Make an obstacle course and blindfold yourself. Ask someone you trust to lead you by either giving you instructions or leading you by the hand. Do you rely on the Holy Spirit’s guidance in difficult situations?
